Carola - The new bridge figure for Dresden - A sketch, 2024

Auf dem schönen Carolaplatz entsteht 2025 das neue Brückenmännchen für Dresden als Symbol für Erneuerungskraft und Wandlungsfähigkeit aus den Resten der in den frühen Morgenstunden des 1. September 2024 eingestürzten Carolabrücke. Voller Freude und Optimismus schauen wir voraus ins Jahr 2033, wenn Carola, der Brückenmann, zum Symbol und Aushängeschild der Bundesgartenschau in Dresden geworden sein wird.

In 2025, on the beautiful Carolaplatz, the new "Brückenmännchen" (Little Bridge Man) for Dresden will take shape —  
a symbol of the power of renewal and adaptability—crafted from the remnants of the Carolabrücke, which collapsed
in the early morning hours of September 1, 2024. Filled with joy and optimism, we look ahead to the year  2033,
when Carola—the Bridge Man—will have become the symbol and flagship figure of the Federal Garden Show in
Dresden.
